Nick Peace HIGH-POWERED Review

murder dog cd reviewNICK PEACE Nick Peace, if you ain't a Bay Area legend, an underground pioneer! He was one of the first producer in the Bay who was puttin compilations together. He was puttin together rappers from all over Northern Cali, doin the Million Dollar Dream compilations. He's been layin lowfor a minute, but now he's back with a loaded compilation called High-Powered. His production is controversial, it's not in anyway typical. He doesn't follow the rules of Rap in his production. He chooses to use samples that nobody would use. You might here some bagpipes in his shit or a little bit of flute. One of the dopest tracks on here is the one with Andre Nickatina. The beat sounds like some Braveheart/William Wallace type shit. Nick Peace's music is so diverse that it could sell in Europe or some other place. He's in his own category. The music alone is worth buyin the CD for, but then look who he's got rapping on here: Keak Da Sneak, Mac Dre, Brotha Lynch Hung, San Quinn, Cellski, Mac Mall, Mr. Kee, First Degree ...he's got original tracks from most of the Bay Area's best. Cop it. -Lou-Nutt 3 1/2 NUTTS High-Powered Reviews & Stuff Lou Nutt (Murder Dog Magazine) Smoov (Mad Science Muzik's) Nick Peace Production Notes Press Release |
